Go ahead. Prove me wrong on this hallowed Thanksgiving Day.
As the 50-year-old on our team at the Family Institute, I've noted for my younger colleagues that the posts that get the most comments on Veritas Rex, by far, are focused in some respect on homosexual marriage/gay unions/blah, blah, blah, blah. So prove me wrong today. Show me the gay community has a life beyond absorption with narcissistic sex. Show us you are truly "gay" as in thankful and happy.
Please leave a comment about what you're thankful for on this special day, initiated in 1863 by President Lincoln at the height (or should we say depth) of the Civil War, the darkest chapter in America's history, with language that the ACLU would immediately file suit over.
Feel free to say whatever you are truly thankful for -- including your same-sex lover if you are truly at that spot in life.
I'd love to see 20 or 30 or 40 comments from our regulars celebrating a true spirit of thankfulness. And I'll go first. I have many things to be grateful for and to give thanks for today. But I'll leave it at I'm thankful today that we have four healthy, happy, faith-filled children who will join my family today and my wife's family Saturday to celebrate faith, family and freedom with five generations of Hoosiers. And that's the truth!
